It has been an exceptional experience to organize the Arizona Watercolor Society's 2005 National Exhibition. I am sure you will agree that this year's exhibition juror, Eric Wiegardt, has done an exceptional job of selecting a body of exciting water media paintings.

I thank the artists who submitted their slides which represented a diverse and high quality assemblage of work. this show represents forty-two artists from across the United States and thirty-three artists from Arizona.

I am indebted to The Chandler Center for the Arts and its staff for providing this beautiful exhibition space. I also must thank Eric Faulhaber, Visual Arts Coordinator for the City of Chandler, and his staff at the Vision Gallery. Without them this show would not have been possible.

There are many other volunteers whom I must thank: Mary Van Deman for her extensive efforts for obtaining merchandise awards, Hazel Stone and Jim Ellis for their helpful suggestions and expertise, plus grant writer, Marilyn Schutzky, who has done wonders in obtaining necessary additional funding
